To help us continue growing, we are seeking an experienced Email Marketing and SMS Specialist, an organized leader with the ability to develop effective email marketing campaigns and push boundaries.

Objectives of the Role

As the Email Marketing and SMS Specialist, you will develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, drive sales, and increase customer retention at withinUs. This role is a vital part of the marketing department with focus on direct communication to our customers through email and SMS campaigns (nurturing leads, increasing customer retention, driving sales) enhancing the lifetime value of our amazing customers. Additionally the Email and SMS Specialist will;

  • Develop and execute email, SMS, and rewards marketing strategies to drive customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value 
  • Ensures that email and SMS is a key driver to maintain a strong relationship with its customers, drives repeat purchases, and keeps the audience informed about new products, brand moments and relevant promotions
  • Manage the email and SMS marketing calendar to drive revenue and KPI goals, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and implement email and sms marketing strategies to achieve marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage email campaigns, including newsletters, automated flows, promotional emails and loyalty programs.
  • Analyze and test email campaign performance and optimize for better results via segmentation (customer behavior, preferences, and demographics).
  • Collaborate with content writers and graphic designers to create engaging email content.
  • Create personalized content and campaigns, including writing, coordinating assets, quality assurance, scheduling, testing, and reporting.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and analyze results to identify optimization opportunities, reporting monthly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.Other duties as required on a daily basis. 
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, or retention marketing roles.Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot) and SMS marketing tools.
  • Experience executing customer rewards or loyalty programs is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.3+ years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, or retention marketing roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Design capability and experience in Figma or Canva are strong assets.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 CAD per annum
