Not all MARINE collagen is created equal

The popularity of collagen products continues to grow. VARIOUS GRADES OF MARINE COLLAGEN

The source and purity of hydrolyzed collagen powder determines taste, smell, bioavailability, and overall effectiveness.

Marine collagen is graded as follows:

LOW GRADE - fish skin collagen / shellfish / shark cartilage 

Fish skin collagen is proven to have lower bioavailability (ie: absorption rate) when compared to premium grade fish scale collagen.

Shellfish and shark cartilage collagen has very high level of calcium, which you want to avoid. These products are also often not sustainable.  

MID-GRADE - combination of fish skin and scale

Mid-grade marine collagen is a combination of high grade and low grade marine collagen. The ratio of fish skin and fish scale is often unknown.

PREMIUM GRADE - exclusively fish scale (no skin).

PREMIUM-SELECT GRADE -wild-caught, exclusively fish scale (no skin), one source of fish vs multiple types of fish.
