AMINO ACIDS: THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF OUR BODIES

Amino acids.

It has been a hot topic in the health and beauty industry of late, but what exactly are they, and why are they important?

What are amino acids?

Amino acids are the chemical building blocks that make up proteins. Our bodies break down the protein that we consume, such as lean meat, fish, and beans into amino acids, and then re-chain these amino acids together to create the specific proteins that our body requires to function. In humans, protein is essential for the structure, function and regulation of all tissues and organs. Every cell in the body contains protein.
Amino acids are essential for healing wounds and repairing tissue, especially in the muscles, bones, skin and hair.

While there are over 50 amino acids, only 20 are used to create proteins in the body. 9 are essential amino acids, which means the body does not produce or create them and must be consumed from dietary sources.

Foods High In Amino Acids

Eggs, lean meat, soybeans and quinoa are considered complete proteins since they contain all 9 of the essential amino acids. However, similar to most foods, should be consumed in moderation.

What Is Hydrolyzation?

This is a question we get asked often.

withinUs™ Trumarine® Collagen is broken down strictly using enzymatic hydrolyzation. Using enzymes rather than harsh acids and heat to break down the marine collagen produces a low molecular weight, making it highly bioavailable (absorbs quickly into the bloodstream). Other popular consumable sources of collagen, such as bone broth, cartilage and fish skin, have a much higher molecular weight, making them difficult for the body to break down and absorb into the bloodstream.

The hydrolyzation process that withinUs™ Trumarine® Collagen undergoes is an important process that ensures the maximum absorption.

withinUs™ TruMarine® Collagen and Amino Acids

withinUs™ Trumarine® Collagen contains 18 amino acids — 8 of which are essential. To break it down, Trumarine® Collagen is 95% protein, but what makes it different from other protein sources is its unique concentration of three specific amino acids: Hydroxyproline, Proline, and Glycine.

Clinical studies have proven that this specific combination of amino acids promotes collagen production within the body by signaling fibroblasts in the body to increase collagen production. What this means is that your body will be signalled to produce more collagen.

Amino acids are important within the body to help our organs and tissues function properly. Ensuring your daily diet contains the proper amino acids and essential amino acids is necessary as our body cannot produce some of these amino acids on its own. withinUs™ Trumarine® Collagen contains the amino acids that aid the production of collagen in the body, and collagen plays a pivotal role in aiding lean muscle gain, workout recovery, hair and nail growth, joint pain, and keeping skin hydrated, happy and healthy from the inside out.
