POSITION: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE COORDINATOR
TYPE: FULL TIME 

LOCATION: VANCOUVER, B.C.

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for monitoring all activities of the accounts receivable function and independently research, investigate and resolve receivable issues - including unapplied payments, disputed transactions, and deficiencies in back-up documentation

THE OPPORTUNITY 

  • Coordinate all activities of the AR function and day-to-day operations
  • Assist in month end accruals and account reconciliations’
  • Receives and posts payments for wholesale customers on payment terms
  • Process credit applications, including reviewing credit holds and releasing customer orders on hold
  • Sends deductions to sales for approval and assigns correct trade spend accounts for each deduction
  • Support Payroll
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide high quality customer service via phone and email regarding collection issues, processing customer refunds, and reviewing account adjustments
  • Thoroughly review and analyze documentation to ensure its accuracy and validity
  • Disputes various customer claims, including order shortages or overages, and vendor non-compliance fines
  • Assists with Shopify payments and reconciliations for Credit Cards, PayPal and Stripe merchant accounts
  • Prepares customer statements
  • Update & maintain customer account information in the accounting system.

THE EXPERIENCE & QUALITIES YOU BRING

  • Experience with Shopify, QuickBooks, EDI, SPS
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounts receivable experience (order to cash)
  • Professional, analytic, and very detailed oriented
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt, maintain focus with a high degree of accuracy
  • An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High comfort level in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and collaboration skills are essential
  • A strong mathematical background
  • Time management and follow-up skills; highly organized and detailed orientated
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
