'Tis the season for giving!
We can hardly believe it’s almost December. Seriously, where did the time go? The holidays are around the corner and the pending anxiety has begun to set in at the withinUs office. We have been discussing and exchanging great gift ideas to one another, or looking at our calendar trying to figure out when we will be able to allocate time to start shopping (we are, however, a big advocate of online shopping - in our pyjamas).
Searching for that thoughtful holiday gift can be overwhelming. You need to be inspired by some fresh ideas for those on your list this holiday season.
With little room for procrastination, it's time to strategize. Lucky for you, we are here to take some of the pressure off your holiday shopping and created a list of a few of our favourite things that also make wonderful gifts. We hope our withinUs Holiday Gift Guide will spark some great gift ideas this holiday season.
If you have someone on your list that loves to be comfy and cozy, the Gypsetter blanket is a great choice. These blankets (74" long x 50" wide) are handmade in Mexico and get softer and fuller after wash, perfect for staying warm during the winter months, and an added plus it can also be used as a picnic blanket during the summer.
One of our new favourite item is the diffuser from Vancouver Candle. Vancouver Candle Co. is well known for their handmade candles, and they recently released these gorgeous diffusers, and our favourite is the West Coast scent.
Who doesn’t enjoy a relaxing bath? This all-natural soak by K’Pure Naturals includes detoxifying Dead Sea salts and a calming blend of organic lavender and cedar wood. One of our favourite gifts to give family and friends anytime of the year is the pocket farmacy from Saje. This must-have natural farmacy includes five of Saje’s most loved remedies including our favourite, peppermint halo, which is a refreshingly therapeutic blend that will soothe the head and relieve headaches.
Leah Alexandra is a Vancouver jeweller that creates unique and stunning handmade jewelry pieces using hand-selected gemstones and freshwater pearls. We are huge fans of her jewelry, especially the topaz necklace. It is timeless and can compliment jeans and a t-shirt, or a cocktail dress.
If you like to giving gifts that are slightly original, you MUST check out the beautifully hand-crafted pieces from Crawford Creek Designs (we love, LOVE their cedar serving platter). Made in Vernon, BC, their wood is mainly reclaimed, salvaged, short ends and unusual limited pieces.
The understated essential at our office is the Chelsea King scrunchies. High buns are effortless with these hand-made scrunchies and a total upgrade to a damaging elastic. They are luxioursly simply made from the highest quality textiles, and well thought designs and colours. Chelsea King scrunchies are a must-gift for anyone who loves to put their hair up. We also are obsessed with our himalayan salt lamps. They are beautiful to look at, but also beneficial for you too. They help purify the air, neutralizes electromagnetic radiation and is a perfect addition to any room in your home.
A few items we couldn’t imagine starting our morning without is our withinUs TruOrganic™ Matcha (we add withinUs TruMarine™ Collagen as a superboost) which makes a great gift for those wanting to try matcha or those who appreciate high quality, premium items. The Bonavita electric kettle is a staple at our office - select the perfect water temperature (it truly is the BEST) for preparing matcha, coffee, or black tea. We would be lying if we said we didn’t have a collection of our favourite mugs in our office kitchen and honestly, there is also no better way to enjoy a cup of matcha than in a beautiful mug. For those on your list that are always on-the-go, being environmental, cutting down on waste is always in style. We love stylish and functional re-usable travel mugs, such as the Joco travel mug.
We hope these gift ideas help you check off a few friends and family from your list.
