This isn’t just for the young, maybe even more so… it’s for the young at heart. Oh collagen, you’ve given us images of lumpy lips and cheeky cheeks. But truth be told, you were a natural all along. And let’s face it, we could all use a little added glow in today’s world. Not to mention joint and bone health that will have you feeling young more importantly. Oh, and I haven’t even mentioned nails and hair.
So what is it really, collagen? It’s a main structural protein found in connective tissue. Derived from the greek word “kolla” meaning glue. Makes sense right?
So that being said, you could see why it might be just a little bit important in the maintenance and even repair of all tissues, muscles, bones, and yes...SKIN! Oh, and why we get wrinkles, amongst other things is because collagen production declines with age.

Here’s how it works:
Citrus: helps boost collagen and elasticity in the skin via Vitamin C. Antioxidant rich to combat free radicals that cause damage to our skin.
Green Vegetables: More Vitamin C and antioxidizing enzymes the prevent the breakdown of collagen.
Protein: Tissue repair, we need adequate protein levels in order to keep collagen production optimal.
K, enough talking, get glowing…
3/4 cup coconut milk (or other non dairy milk)
1/2 cup coconut water
1 scoop withinUs TruMarine™ Collagen
1/2 cup frozen mango
1 1/2 cup frozen spinach
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
Vanilla protein powder
Blend, garnish, and glow
Note: you can add, or subtract liquids as you see fit. Personally, I don't think ice belongs in smoothies, but hey, knock yourself out if you like.
